If you are looking for someone to team up with, either in a romantic relationship or in a business context, do not pick the first person who shows interest! You had better shop around if you want to find the perfect partner -- or at least a partner who will be able to provide everything you truly need. It can be flattering when someone makes an effort to be a part of your life, but that doesn't always mean they deserve to be there. It's not only fine to be picky, it is smart to be picky!
