Even if you were planning on taking it easy, there's more going on in your immediate environment than you can ignore. Attempting to resist the action will only build frustration, for you're likely to be pulled in by unplanned circumstances anyhow. It's best to throw in the towel sooner than later, for you'll probably enjoy yourself once you are swept up in the social whirlwind.
