Although you might have had a chance recently to do something exciting, you did the responsible thing and acted with self-restraint. By now, you should have enough information to go for it if all still looks good. You are smarter because of your experience, but the window of opportunity is closing. If you don't put your newly gathered intelligence to work quickly, you could lose the chance forever.
