You may need to be flexible today in order to let go of a previously cherished goal. This needn't be seen as a failure; it's just that you learned something that wasn't part of your original equation and you will be better off if your objectives are modified accordingly. It may help to take a more spiritual approach to what's happening, for your real accomplishments now won't be measurable by objective standards.
