You may want to talk about some event from your past so you can let it go. But it's more involved than just telling the story, for now you will probably feel the need to exaggerate and turn it into something more than it was. Your current motives for sharing may not be readily apparent, which might prompt others to withdraw. If you sense that someone is retreating today, it's a good idea to let them. Take the hint and save your tale for another day.
