Minding your own business and getting on with your work sounds like a smart plan, but if you think someone needs help today, you won't be able to say "no." You may be overcome with tender sympathy for an underdog and be driven to do something about it. Of course there's nothing wrong with assisting those in need, but accepting your limitations now can save everyone from being frustrated later.
