You don't like it when someone tries to get you to do something that's not in your best interest. You may feel as if you are being emotionally blackmailed today and you don't want to deal with the situation. You would rather kick back and enjoy yourself, rather than engaging in a family member's drama. Nevertheless, you can be quite effective in establishing limits around your involvement once you are pushed too far. Being clear in your resistance will make life easier later on in the day.
