It's hard to put faith in your friends now, for they don't seem to understand what you really want. To make matters more confusing, others may act in ways that seem out of character. You might try to retreat to your work or fall back on routines that make you feel safe. But this strategy is like putting on a band-aid; it protects you but doesn't heal the underlying issue. However, forgiveness goes a long way toward making everyone feel better.
