Keeping the peace is simply not your job -- so today, do not take on any additional burdens by trying to ease tense situations. Your compassion is admirable, but if a conflict is going on today, you need to do your best to avoid it. Resist your urge to step in and make these people talk to each other or try to come to an agreement. This is something you are not a part of, and you should stay out of it. Let them work out their problems on their own. You can't help.
